Happy New Year! Or maybe I should say, "Happier Days to Come." On this, the first day of a new decade - the first day of my FIFTH decade and just 6 weeks before my 40th birthday - I spent in the throws of food poisoning. And to make matters worse, and very heartbreaking, is that Eden and I suffered the effects of it together. We were both up all night, vomiting and other unspeakable repercussions of decadent New Years Eve dinner. I think it was actually the sweet potato dish that I tried to make from Mom's fabulous recipe. I guess I went wrong somewhere. So here I am, captured with my Blackberry laying beside me in bed. Aside from still feeling sick from the night before, I happen to also be suffering from an awful case of dry, cracked, painful skin on my face. Wow - let's hope I can get myself together by the big 4-0!
